The Center - Memphis exists to help people better understand their life’s purpose and to help them fully use their gifts at work.

7 Reasons Why
1. All of life — every minute — is spiritual (Romans 11:36 - 12:1). Every moment is an opportunity to live out our highest purpose as a person.
2. We were made to glorify God by being His witnesses (Isaiah 43:12 and Acts 1:8).
3. Most people will spend more time working than anything else they do — many will spend over 90,000 hours working. This is ok, we were made in the image of God to be coworkers with Him (Genesis 1:26-27).
4. The spiritual battle (Ephesians 6:10-18) of life plays out at work as much as it does in any other arena.
5. We have all been given gifts for the battle of life and work (1 Peter 4:10).
6. God has prepared good works for us (Ephesians 2:10) that are as unique as He has made us (Psalm 139:13).
7. When a large number of Memphians understand that every moment is spiritual, know their highest purpose, and uniquely deploy their gifts, all of Memphis will be transformed — lives, families, and organizations. This will create new opportunities for all Memphians to thrive and use their gifts.
Of course, we all need help understanding how to be witnesses and best deploy our gifts in the face of a grueling enemy and in an ever-changing culture. We need the truth of God’s Word to define reality and offer hope and we need a community of people to help us along the way.
