What is The Center - Memphis, and what do you really do? We get this question a lot, so here is a quick explanation.

The Center is a leadership institute that exists to activate believers in the workplace. We help leaders define reality and offer hope through the truth of God’s word applied to everyday life and work — with the goal of transforming individuals, organizations, and ultimately our great city. Memphis is a great city, and our city would be even greater if believers — those who follow and trust Jesus — went into the workplace and applied their faith everyday to love and serve others.

We seek to accomplish this mission in 4 ways:

1. We meet in groups weekly to understand the purpose of our work. When we understand our true purpose and believe our eternal destiny we can better deploy our gifts of leadership in our work. This semester, our groups are learning how to lead like Jesus.

2. The second way we equip leaders to transform Memphis is through career coaching, advice and counseling on what to do next in everything from next steps in your career, changing professions, buying and selling a business, to resolving conflict. We have 50+ experts who are willing to meet with and help guide you through the process of making your next big decision.

3. We help people get new jobs. Those same 50 people who serve as advisors, and many more, work together in helping connect people to good jobs.

4. We help entrepreneurs start new things. We equip entrepreneurs with relationships, expertise, and capital so that there can be better jobs in Memphis.
