The Power of Persuasion

We can’t succeed in leadership without mastering the discipline of persuasion. We must be able to convince people in order to lead others from where they are to where they need to go.

Once we’ve truly listened and heard someone, there’s opportunity to persuade them to do better work for the benefit of clients, coworkers, and themselves. It takes persuasion to guide a coworker from what they’re asking for to what they really need.
